We sent letters and emails to our clients in early January with the date of their tax appointment or with instructions to schedule their tax appointment. If you received your letter and can provide us with your tax documents on or before your date, no further action is required; we look forward to receiving your tax documents on or before the date of your tax appointment. If you were instructed to contact our office to schedule your tax appointment or if you would like to reschedule an existing appointment to a later date, select the appropriate office and complete the form. Once we receive your request, we will contact you with a confirmation or other options.
Again, your tax appointment is the latest date that you should deliver your tax documents to our office. We are happy to accept your documents earlier and you are not required to reschedule your appointment if you can deliver your documents before your scheduled date.
Handling late or missing documents
We understand that a few of your tax documents, such as a Schedule K-1 from a trust, S corporation, or partnership, may not be available by your tax appointment date. You should bring in your other tax documents on or before your appointment date and provide us with the missing tax documents as soon as they become available.
If a Schedule K-1 or other document will not be available within one week of your tax appointment date, we will assign you a new date or place you on the waiting list, which could result in an extension being filed for your return.
